stuck in gear

went out today only to turn around once at the hole.stuck in forward ,when i left the ramp it was fine .reverse forward go, its stuck in the pull out warm up pos.when i went to flush it no rpm;s @ all .good thing i came strait back in . anyways any ideas??? possible linkage problem

be sure and check your lower unit oil...if water got in and it uses a hydraulic assist the assist unit won't work and no shift...last time that happened to me tho I just couldn't get it to stay "in" gear.
