" HELLO AGAIN ,Ihave a 25 horse 1972 johnson ,i have put in new coils and points and condensers,new fuel pump removed and rebiult the carb but still won,t start ,spark looks good, new fuel ,first pull it acts like it is going to take off but then it doesn,t and it doesn,t try on following pulls, when it trys to go the first pull itgives a puff of exhaust and thats it ,i,m lost as what to try now,the key in the crank is good ,could there be a simple wire shorting,i have also disconnected the kill switch and still never worked, thanks for an help Ken "
