Stiff throttle

Throttle lever is stiff when engaging both foward and reverse. Thought I would take it apart and look into it. Where do I get a diagram for it? The boat is a 1993 Astro 180 FS with a 115hp Mercury outboard. Or, any other suggestions???
 
Disconnect the cable at the motor--------then see if it is a problem with the motor or the control box.----------Salt water motor ???
