Stiff throttle on early 80's 40 hp

As you twist the throttle on tiller handle it gets harder to turn.

Okay, check all lubrication points and you might want to use, instead of grease, try something lighter, like motor oil. I have a mixture of Motor Honey or STP, and 50/50 with motor oil. Soaks in better and lubes plastic to plastic much better than most greases. Is there a tension adjuster at the end of the tiller twist grip?
