"I have a Mercruiser stern drive that will not trim down completely. The pump is working ok. The trim up, trim down and trailer switches are functioning ok. However, the drive needs to go down another ten degrees or so. When it goes as far as it will go, there is a sound like it is stopping against something solid, but I see nothing blocking it from travelling further.
The boat hasn't been on the lake in 2 years, so I was checking it out and cleaning today to get ready. Any idea what could cause this and how to fix it?
