Steam Or White Smoke

Hi everyone i have a 1977 merccury 700 (70hp). After over $500 in new parts later my motor seem's to be running fine. When i slow down to a no-wake speed im seeing alot of steam or white smoke comming out the exaust above the water. I know its normal to some degree to have that but does anyone know why that much would be comming out? It has a brand new thermostat in it. Thanks in advance everyone!!

On a cold day you see that out the exhaust of a car.------------Now near the water you will see that on a cold day and even more.----------------Did you put a new impeller in it ?---If not you need to do that !
