If you are testing the charge coils ( ignition )--Find the 2 brown wires going to the powerpack-------------------------Put 1 lead from the ohmeter to one and the other lead to the other wire. -------Note reading.----------------Then one ohmeter lead to one of the wires and the other to ground --note reading.----------------------If you are testing for battery charging then find the yellow wires.

thank you for the quick relpay, but what i have is my stator off my moter,(this leads back to my issue with my power pack exc.) i have been told there is a way to test the stator off the moter by doing in ohmes test do u know of a step by step way even how to set multi test for this test, or even a web site i cant find much, thanks!

Testing off the motor is NO DIFFERENT --------------brown to brown -----------then one brown to ground.

on brown to brown i get 850 an any other combination including ground i get 1(0) what would be a proper ground with the stator off? right to the stator

850 ohms is good brown to brown ------------------brown to ground should be infinity ( no reading )---------Obviously ground is where the stator contact the block.
