Stator: Johnson VRO --- J60LCEA outboard - stator wiring

Just got my replacement stator - the wire harness with the 2 orange and 2 brown wires goes into a plug with 5 pins and a black/yellow wire in it that goes into the power cable harness going to the boat and the power pack on the other end - it does not come from the stator. So - without it in the replacement harness - do I splice it back to the black/yellow to maintain that circuit as it was originally????

Where did the replacement stator come from.-----Factory replacement or something else ?

supposed to be OEM part - direct replacement
