"Thanx a lot in advance for your help. My problem is I just bought this 1977 70 horse evinrude And put it om my 17 foot trihull It starts right up and idles nice when you rev it up, out of the water it revs right up in the water when in gear it starts out slow and then when you get up on plane it goes normal speed but when you are first taking off it is slow as can be any ideas ??? again we do so appriciate all the help.If ya ever come ta florida let me know I have a lot of connections"

This motor may be geared different and the prop may considerably different. Unless you are sure that the motor has an issue, it could simply be that it is trying to push a whole lot of water initially and takes a bit to get going..."
 
Driveshaft Shimming. I need in

Driveshaft Shimming. I need instructions for the use of tool 393185 to shim my driveshaft on my 1977 55hp Evinrude. My Seloc manual calls for 320739 which is the older style. I have access to the 393185 but no instructions on how to use it.
