Starting motor first time in spring after being winterized

How do I dewinterize my engine

How do I dewinterize my engine. I can't get it in for a month so I would like to do it myself.

"I guess really it depends on what was done to winterize it (And which engine you own)...

As a basic starting point I'd say fresh gas, change lower unit oil, change impeller if it hasn't been done in 2 years, make sure inlet screens are clear, a good inspection to make sure nothing seems out of place, etc... Install batteries if applicable, charge them if they haven't been, check any steering linkages, etc..."
