"i wrote first thinking there was no fire, but i sprayed starter fluid in and it started right up, but when i push the choke in or lift the red lever and bypass the fuel solenoid, without using the starter fluid, the engine turns but will not start. any ideas on what is going on."

"i just bought it about 2months ago, dont know if they have ever been rebuilt. i tried it again today, after missing a day. it would not start at first, i then used starter fluid again and this time it took about six or seven turns of the key for it to start. any idea whats going on."

"quick-start,auto advances the ign timing,till 104 degrees,and each time it is started.Going back to your original prob,i would clean carbs,verify clean,or replace fuel and primer lines,verify operation of primer,and clean nipples on intake."

you will need to get a fuel pressure tester
