starter wiring

i have a 4.3L mercuriser 2004. I am replacing the starter and I am not sure how to hook wires up. Has a fuse and i am not sure about how to connect wires to fuse and selonid. help

How many posts do you have besides the battery post?

Is the fuse going to the top of the starter? If so..... The big red wire from the batteries will go to the starter solenoid (big post in the center)... The little red wire will go to the fuse block and the 3rd little wire will go to the Starter solenoid post (normally closet to the block).
