Starter removal on 1977 25hp Johnson

Need to remove starter on '77 Johnson 25, so as to remove carb. Anyone have details on how to proceed ??

Take off the bracket the starter sits in and the starter at the same time. Leave the starter in the bracket. Then take the carb off.
