i have a 20 hp tohausu 4 stroke, as well as a 25 hp tohatsu 2 stroke, both are electric start. i would like to run the wiring for the ignition and kill switch up to the front of the seat i sit on when running the boat for whichever motor i will be using. 2002 g3 aluminum, 15 ft. the question i have is can i use one of the wire buses, not sure if thats what they are called, to piggy back two wires that will go to seperate start and kill buttons, momentary buttons? i am not good at wiring, and not sure what you call this thing im talking about. you put it over the wires with the new wires inserted as well, and squeeze the metal connecter into the original wires. please forgive my ignorance and probably weak attempt to describe it. steve.

Yes, you can use wiring connectors. Tohatsu has "assist cords" that allow you to "splice" into the wiring, without disturbing the original wiring. Yes, momentary switches are what you want. I would suggest you get someone who is handy with wiring to help.

Thanks, I wish there someone here that would offer me that type of solution; here the answer is, no that can't be done. Thanks! I am very interested in the assist cords u mentioned; will u give me more info on these please? Thanks, steve

You can drop me an email at the office: [email protected] and I may be able to help you. Here is a pic of an assist cord: assistcord-red_sm.jpg
