"Hey guys:

I have a 69 larson lapline with 85 HP johnson V4. I have just finished replacing the entire floor and brought the boat for a test drive, and all seemed well.

I idled out of the boat launch, idled through the channel a bit, and when I attempted to give her some more throttle, she stalled out on me. This happened on repeated attempts. It was not a fast stall, but rather exagerated. Sounded like the motor when running out of fuel, just like when I run the motor disconeected from the tank.

I give it a little choke, and she fires right back up, and i can idle through again. I ran to west marine, bought a new fuel line, new barb fitting for the tank, and the tank is new. The vent is open on tank, the bulb is fully pressurized, and when running on the muffs at home, the motor will fully go through the throttle range with no problems.

Would surely appreciate any help you can give me, I am an inboard guy, and outboards are new to me.

Thanks

Steve"

The usual cause for that probl

The usual cause for that problem is fouled carburetors or a sticking timer base (under the flywheel).
