I have a 1998 sport jet 175 that is in a regal XR2. It runs great 90% of the time but recently has been acting up. Both modules are new within 2 yrs. It Seems to only happen after the engine warms up.
To put it simply here is what happens-
Idle-2500rpm runs good.
2500-4500rpm really bogs down, like it wants to stall
4500+ runs great.
this happens when going up on plane as well as coming back down off of plane. Anywhere in those mid rpm’s seems to be a real dead area.
If I turn the boat off for a while the problem will usually go away. Sometimes it will return, sometimes it won’t.
Any ideas?
