Speedometer quit? 2004 5.0 L

I have a 2004 Glastron, 5.0 , Mercruiser/Alpha Drive. My Tach recently died and I checked with Faria and they said 1 year warranty is all it has but I can send it in with $30 and allow 6 weeks to get it back fixed. Yesterday my speedometer quit. I checked the quick connect tube where it snaps onto the lower outdrive that I took off last week to replace the impeller and it was still hooked up fine. Any other suggesetions? Thanks for the help!!
