speedometer problems

I just purchased a used pathfinder with a yamaha 150 and during the sea trials everything work fine but now the speedometer is not working properly. It is showing a much slower speed than the gps. any ideas on what the problem is and how to correct it.

check the small holle on the shaft that its ok and not blocked.

Front edge of the lower unit.

blow compressed air from gauge back into the clear tube

make sure tube is clear and not to much bend. blow compressed air at the front edge hole of the lower unit.

you never want to blow from motor into gauge
this will cause the clog to go more up the tube

always blow from gauge back to motor

francisleo4 if your a tech, find a new job ASAP, your skills are going to cause more of a headache

the hose should open from meter when you blow compressed air from gear unit. we mechanics have brain to use.
