Hey there...
Thanks to Guy and Troym for the responses on my other post.
I'm working towards the "Pitot tube off the front of the outdrive" thing for the speedo not working. (I won't find out until this coming weekend if that actually is the problem or not).
If it is the problem.......The boat is in the water and I can't very easily get it off the lake. When tilting the outdrive all the way up, the drive is still under water. The tube will have water in it. If I just plug it back on, will there be a problem with having water in the tube?, I'm sure it will cause a problem. Should I hook the tube back on and then pull the other end of the tube off the back of the speedo and try to blow through it to get all the water out. I could have someone standing at the back of the boat and see if air bubbles are coming out the front of the drive where the small orifice is that senses water pressure. Does this sound like a good idea?, am I able to blow through the tube, or is it too difficult for the air to get through the small orifice at the back? Anyone ever tried this?
(BTW, I found my service manuals
)
Thanks
