Is it OK to just use the Quick

Is it OK to just use the Quicksilver 2-4-C grease instead of this stuff? I've been unable to find Lube 101 to buy it.

Is 101 a gimbal bearing grease; I can't remember. Any waterproof bearing grease will suffice. Previous discussions on grease types and uses have shown that 2-4-C can be used on anything. It's your choice.
 
"24C is perfectly fine to use

"24C is perfectly fine to use for gimble bearing, steering, and pivot points on transom assy. Your driveshaft splines should have a light coat of Mercury's Spline Grease or equivalent spread on them anytime you remove your drive."
