spark problem

i have a older blackmax w/clamshell cowl, maybe mid 80's, perfect comp, stator has spark in the to yellow wirers, but non from packs to coils, anyidea what the problem can be, or does anyone have good complete elec. system

You need to ohm the stator and trigger. Don't spark wires except for plug wires because doing so will kill delicate electronic components...they don't like it.

Stator is shot. The yellow wires are for the alternator circuit to charge the battery, and that's all.
