"Hello. I have a 2000 Four Winns 180 Horizon that has a Volvo Penta 4.3Gl engine. I have been looking for a part number for the spark plugs that fit that engine and I am having a hard time locating it. If anyone can point me to a site where I could look this up, that would be nice. Also, dare I say/ask, I am looking for platinum or irridium plugs. I have had good luck with them in cars/trucks and I am assuming that those types of plugs will work nicely also. Any opinions would be helpful. Thanks in advance."

Ayuh,....
And your Boat isn't a Car, nor a Truck......

Your motor, if equiped with the Vortec Fastburn Heads takes the AC Delco MR43TS...
The older Non-Fastburn heads use the MR43T plugs.....

You can tell which heads you have by counting the Intake Manifold Bolts,....
There's 8 on the Fastburn heads,+ 12 on the older heads...."

I agree with Bondo

I agree with Bondo. I always put in what the factory puts in. Cars, trucks, boats, whatever. If it originally came with AC's then thats what you should put back in. If it calls for Champions, (gulp) then put Champions back in.

"Bondo and Wrench,

Thanks for your input. I need to stick my head in the engine compartment and pull one of the plugs to see what it is. I though it would be easy to look up, but I am getting all kinds of plugs and started to wonder. I will pull one and put the same one's on. Again, thanks for your input.
