Thanks Mark"

J4C would be the equivalent to J4J. My guide from OMC now states for J6C plugs to be used. I suspect that if you are doing a lot of trolling then the J6C would be a better choice. If you are usually running it full out the J4C would be fine. The 6 plugs are a little hotter than the 4s.

I never use a torque wrench for spark plugs. Just snug them finger tight and then about 1/4 turn more for used plugs and maybe a little more (closer to a 1/2 turn) for brand new plugs.

"You will notice a new plug has to squish the washer. After that it will tighten right away. Make sure the electrode is centered under the reach and gap at .025 or so. I use anti seize on all plugs too and lube boot with some dielectric grease. I recommend Amsoil fully syn 100:1 oil but mix @ 64:1 or 12 oz to 6 gallons non oxy fuel. Your new plugs will last until your coils crack or points go bad, ha! Condensers rarely fail. Good fishing!"
