Got a Evinrude 1968 Starflite

Got a Evinrude 1968 Starflite 100s #100883b and I'm getting some conflicting info on what plugs to use. I'm runnig L76V's but the Selco manual I've got say's V40ffx is the plug. I've heard from someone on another board about some other plugs.Joe Can you pin it down for me? also what can you tell me about this engine? heard it's a money pit if things go wrong.Thanks Joe or anyone else with the time to respond.

" To my knowledge, L76V is the Champion plug it calls for. However, you could also try the Champion electrode type plug L77JC4 with the gap set to .030 .
