I have a 76 40 hp evinrude and

I have a 76 40 hp evinrude and am using a QL77jc4 plug and was wondering if a champion UL81c plug is safe to use in this motor?/

the spec sheet calls for ul81c

the spec sheet calls for ul81c gapped at .030..i was thinking that it was a surface gap.
