Spark not advancing

"i have a 1986 9.9 evinrude .

"i have a 1986 9.9 evinrude . it runs perfect on idle but when i give it throttle its smoking alot,and not accelerating at all,it is just using alot of fuel for nothing. the carbs are clean with new kit and fuel pump kit is new. spark plugs are new and even fuel. could it be the spark is not advancing ??can i set it or what can check else. thanks in advance"
 
operation of the throttle cont

operation of the throttle control directly advances the ignition timing. Opening of the throttle valve on the carb merely follows that. You could check that that the roller is not missing from the cam follower but otherwise I suspect you trouble lies elsewhere
 
no i cheked that but the rolle

no i cheked that but the roller is there and that carb seems to be working ok . am sure its something with the ignition because i can see alot of unburned gases going ou of the exhaust. could it be something in the electronics under the fly wheel or something i can adjust.because when am trying to rev it up the engine starts stalling in alot of fuel. thanks
