"Hi
I have a 140 HP Mercury Outboard Motor. Our "new" goverment has now changed all the fuel to be "safe". The thing is i used to use standard 97 octane leaded fuel, but now there is only lead replacement fuel available. Question is this do i need to add some sort of additive along with the two stroke oil to protect the engine?

Lead is generally not required

Lead is generally not required in two stroke engines.As long as the octane is 97 or better go with it.
