My ADD will not allow me to read this entire post but I skimmed it pretty well. Did we ever get compression, 80 psi ain't gonna cut it. The computer screwing up won't effect anything if you have spark during the crank cycle. You may not get correct advance but you should be able to rotate the distributor by hand to get it started. Have you done that. I also never saw a response to the camshaft question, was it replaced? If so, did you use a LH camshaft?
These things aren't rocket science. Spark + compression + fuel, all applied at the proper time will make this engine run. Raw fuel dumped down the carb will allow it to fire and eliminate a carb issue, at least for now.
