I have a 1969 Uniflite repower

I have a 1969 Uniflite repowered with twin AQ145s. I need to rebuild the Solex carbs. Bought the kit and the Seloc manual but am not sure how to remove the emulsion tube. Seems like it turns but does not loosen. Is there a trick?

"More info. This is a Solex 61

"More info. This is a Solex 6188 12 0 01 stamped 45 on float bowl cover and 44-31 in carb throat. I have attached a pictue because I don't know if an idle jet is supposed to be on this model. In the Seloc book it appears there is one. I want to see if I can rebuild this with the kit I bought here, or am I missing parts. Thanks
