"Just wanted to know if anyone has a used solex downdraft carb for a 120B, or a suggestion for a reasonably priced substitution. I have posted that I thought that my solex was leaking around the bowl gasket, but it turns out to be worse. I took it to the shop today, and after a good cleaning, have found that the nasty salt exposure has eaten a few holes in the bowl itself. Hmmmmmm.
I thought about epoxy on the outside, but the idea of that doesn't really suit me.
So, I am looking for a good used solex, or a suggestion on an alternative.
This boat has grown into a "snowball" of FUN!!!!

I have a phn. it mounts to the intake on the side. not on the top. i think i have the problem taken care of. went ahead and used epoxy on the small hole in the bowl. i found an accelerator pump at a parts house for five dollars and used gasket material for the bowl. so far so good. but still lookin for a replacement. i am just frustrated and tapped on funds. that makes me more desperate to get this thing in the water. Thanks for the responses. Any other ideas are appreciated.
