Solex 44phn - rebuild or replace?

Boat would not turn over the other day. Sprayed starter fluid through spark arrestor which I believe pushed a bunch of oil/crap down into carb. Won't do that again.

I believe my accelerator pump is shot. Carb backfires and sputters unless WOT. I am reading these carbs are becoming obsolete - although there are rebuild kits, people cannot get new floats.

Should I replace or rebuild?

If I replace, are there better options to changing the manifold for a Downdraft?

these are real easy to clean, the accelerator pump is one of the few parts to replace. I'll bet your jet passages are clogged with aluminum corrosion.
