Smoking 8hp 2 stroke

I have a 1998 Mercury 8hp 2-stroke that starts on the 1st or 2nd pull, warms up nicely and runs well at all speeds until I start to troll.
When trolling at low speeds/RPm's the engine smokes excessively and is quite annoying. I have always been very dilligent in not exceeding the 50:1 fuel mix ratio and use fresh gas on every trip out. Please provide any advice or assistance how I can stop the smoking. Many thanks.

You could help by posting the maker of the oil that you are using.--------Some oils smoke less than others.------------------You have of course confirmed that you do not have a flooding carburetor , mixture is properly adjusted and no internal leaks in the fuel pump

I am told that the synthetic oils don't smoke. You might try that.
