I hope someone here can help, we have just bought a lovely wee boat with a 84/86 Mariner 75 2 stroke (serial no 6505340) which is running with a bit of blue smoke.
The chap we got the boat from was unsure about the fuel/oil mixture (long story here but it hasnt been run since he got it although it has been serviced so I dont think he has run it with the wrong mix) and from what I was able to find out it should be 50:1. Is this right?
In addition, as well as having water coming from the telltale when running, it also splutters out from the joint in the housing just below. Should I be worried? Thanks in advance, John
