Smoke/steam exhausting from starboard engine

Floatation Device

I have twin 454 screws. The port enigne exhaust water as what appears normal. The starboard engine exhaust water and either steam or exhaust. The temp guauge shows 170 F on each engine. The water volume appears to be the same, no noticeable difference. Is this a problem and if so, what should I look for? I purchased the boat used as this has been occurring since owning the boat. I fire up both eninges at the dock and let the boat idle for 1/2 hour to 1 hours every month and do not see the starboard exhaust/steam. Does not do this at idle on the dock, only when taking a trip and running for an hour or so.

Ayuh,.... If it's a saltwater motor, pull the risers, 'n inspect the gaskets for leakage,...

With twin 454's and screws.... I'll assume that this is an I/B boat.

Do both Starboard side engine exhaust manifolds direct exhaust to a single exhaust muffler and single outlet?

If so.... is one manifold running warmer than the other?
If so.... is it possible that one manifold is recieving a lessor amount of spent seawater?
If so.... this may perhaps explain the steam.

If so... the fix will be to find out why the seawater system is not dividing the spent seawater equally between the two exhaust manifolds.

Long shot.... but perhaps worth mentioning!
