Small problem 9.9 Evinrude

Hi, Jim from CT here. I have a 1995 Evinrude 9.9 hp outboard E10ELERB, recently installed a new cam follower/roller assembly, the old one snapped at the bottom curve where they normally break. So I put the part in but I am not sure how to "synch" that screw in the assembly {sets idle speed?}. Do i just turn it clockwise until the idle sounds good? I dont want to snap the new one so thought I'd check here. Thanks!

I think I got it. I turned the screw in until the motor got to the point where it idles nicely without stalling.
That is not how you do it. Look on the cam for a line, you want the roller to start opening the carb at that point. If you turn the screw to far it will just break again.
