"}<font face=""times new roman,times,roman"">Have a 1978 65hp 650Mercury Thunderbolt on a 16foot fiberglass Sunray. Under load the motor has full throdle but seems to have only 1/4 speed. I have a 12p prop. I would like to pull a tube, but not enough get go to do so.
Any suggestions what the problem could be??

well it sounds like you have a

well it sounds like you have a smmall pitch on your prop i have a merc 500 and im running a 17 pitch but its also could be carb adjustments or dirty fouled plugs
but if you can try and get a higher pitch around 16 if your wanting to pull things and go fast enough at the same time.
