Sludge leaking from prop

Im knew here. I have a 2000 Johnson 90hp Ocean pro. This is knew to me. Maiden voyage was cruising 5 mph in Huntington Harbor California. I was so surprised how nice ot was running . I took the boat home and parked it. The next morning i see a 7" diameter puddle of sludge dripping out of the prop. I smelled it. It smelled like exhsust. I was told it loaded up. I sure couldn't tell it as it was running good. What are your thoughts.

You probably get better responses if you posted on the Johnson outboard page....that said, I would be inclined to check the oil in the lower unit.

Could be normal for a 2 stroke running slow for an extended time.-----Or red lever on electric primer in the correct position?
