Sludge leaking from Prop

After having my boat out for the first time this year on Friday, I noticed greenish/brown sludge leaking from the prop. I removed the prop and found a lot of the sludge in the prop housing (pictures attached). The motor (20 horse Merc) started up just fine and ran fine all day. I have never seen this before - any ideas about what it might be, and if I have a problem?

Yep, it's just burnt/unburnt oil and gas that has "oozed" its way down the housing.

The "exhaust" comes out through the prop.

Most times you don't see this "goo" because 1) it goes into the water while the motor is running or 2) it drips out on the road on the trailer ride home.

That looks "totally normal" to me.
