Skeg Repair

I have a j50plssm engine and need a skeg repair part. i have looked and cannot find one that is for that exact engine.

Can someone tell me what to order?

Skeg repair part?? You'll need to go into a little detail/explanation on that one.

he may be talking about the lower part of the lower unit....the little point that is in front of the prop.... you can still use the boat but the prop will get a good polishing and eventually a log will get the prop and then will have major repairs on the lower unit unless he is running a aluminum prop and it still may happen....i would look for a repair shop run by an mech that never throws anything away.....you know the type....50 old motors and controls laying around in a back room...the last one i broke was at a landing in the 70,s and fortunately merc stocked the part....surprising low cost back then but who knows today..
