"Yamaha,25 hp,4 stroke,long shaft, high thrust. Serial No.1024105 Purchasedsept.2005, installed March 2006, aprox 150 hours,all servicing done early, eg 100rs at 30.
Put boat on mooring, everything running fine (2 motors the same, one now faulty),shut down normal,4days later on return, one starts the other a clunk as starter motor engages, does not turn over motor. As a matter of course fuel was checked and filters replaced, so all ok, then sparkplugs checked, dry , no water ( first thought leaking head gasket), removed top cover, tried to start, as before starter engages no turn over, tried a big spanner on flywheel nut, doesnot move! Not in gear, prop spins ok.... surely not seized up, 'cus all was well on leaving!! These are run daily when on a cruise, just retuned from 6 months, although not for long periods, often calmdays or needed to get some where, thats all we can give any clues please?"

"Thanks, I meant with the plugs out, rather attached to my fingers, just wanted to see if it would tun the motor over, regards Tony"
