HI
I have an '82 Merc 50 4 cyl with no spark on 1 & 2.
Swapped the trigger leads to see if the problem moved (it didn't)
Leads me to believe that the CDI box is bad. However, the stator wiring is funky. Only (2) leads
from the stator attach to the switch box. Upon removing the flywheel, I find that a Sierra stator has been installed. It has (2) leads that go into a module and come out as different colors that attach to the box. I can't find any wiring diagrams for the Sierra unit. Does the Sierra stator need a Sierra switch box? Would anyone have wiring / diagnostic info on these? It's a P/N 18-5874.
