I replaced power head on my 1992 Mariner 90 HP outboard and it appears that the shifting shaft that goes down to the lower unit must have popped up and when I put I back in, it must have been turned 180 degrees or something. Now, it is in forward gear and wont shift into neutral or reverse. I cannot pop it up high enough to change it back without removing the power head. Can this be changed from below ? Any help would be appreciated.
