the shifter is out of wack on
the shifter is out of wack on my 5 hp briggs and stratton outboard. You have to crank it in forward b/c it will no longer make connection in nuetral. It has happened once before and I had it fixed under warranty and I only had to pay 13 dollars for a shifting adjustment. I would like to fix it myself this time and I was wondering if anyone had done this before and could maybe offer me some help. Is it just something I need to adjust or is there a part I need to buy? I have a repair manual and an illustrated parts list but it seems like it shows you how to do everything but adjust the shifting linkage. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you
