"Hi, recently rebuit a 115 Johnson 2003 2-stroke, engine completely put back together with no major issues, was on the final process of joining up the linkages and wondered why the linkage was not long enough, i failed to wind the shift rod in to the correct adjustment! obviously it is too high so needs to be screwed in
The question is when i remove the lever linkage and pin will i be able to twist the shift rod with my fingers or pliers or do i have to go deeper and remove the leg/powerhead etc!?
For some reason my manual fails me in this department so would anyone know what measurement it should be when in neutral?
look forward to hearing from you..
