shift interrupter switch 1998 305

I have a 98 Crownline 305 eng and need to replace this switch. is this a do it yourself job or pay someone?

Yes you can do it yourself, do you have a manual? Just be sure to mark wires.

Ayuh,... WHY,..??
Those rarely go Bad, but are usually Blamed when the lower shift cable is the actual Problem...
