Hello everyone new to the site and new to boats I just inherited a 1976 with a Ford 302 888 motor and has the pre alpha stern I just started with replacing the bellows and decided to replace the shift cable as well. Now here’s my problem while installing the new shift cable my socket slipped and broke the little plastic tube that’s coming off the end. can I buy this tube from a hardware store or automotive store or do I now have to order a whole new shift cable? Any help would be great ty in advance
