shift cable rubbing bellows

AQ 125 270 drive, finished the primary drive bearing, u-joints, filled with grease, water neck and gasket, water hose, bellows and everything works fine and quiet but the shift cable seems to rub a little on the bellows especially when the drive is up and left turn. Is this normal or did I change something, turn cable wrong? Shifts fine, any ideas would be appreciated.
Thanks Rob

The shift cable position is not adjustable nor changeable.
When the drive is down, as it should be most of the time, there should be no issues with the cable/bellows.

Try your best to not raise the drive any further than need be.
Never store the boat with the drive UP and/or turned Port/Stbd.
This will extend the life of the drive shaft bellows.

Make sure that when you installed the new water neck fitting, that the beaded gasket "bead" faced down... not UP.
