severe pull 1989 25 hp

have a 1989 merc 25 hp, it has a severe pull to right, with trim moved a far as it will go it still pulls severe, it looks like hsg may be bent, owner says it was like this since new, only has around 5-10 hours on it??? it also has a steering rod installed with a wing nut to help stop it from pulling.

which way is the trim tab, all the way left or right?

does the cavitation plate line up with the bottom of the boat?

the steering rod with wing nut is used to lock the engine while on the trailer to keep it from moving around

all the way to right. raining rite now, will have check plate lineup, steering rod is a homemade thing just help keep motor straight when running fast. will get you a pic, thnx
