Setting Timing belt

Ok, I wanna thank all the guys here who have helped me through my ordeal of my honda 200 burning up fuel pumps.Today I ran my boat on a 90 mile intercoastal run just to make sure it's ready for offshore fishing. I have twin Bf200's on a 28 mako. I had been running between 3000 and 3400 RPM, then up to 4000, just cruising along...It ran without hiccups until I hit the 5000 RPM range..I didnt do this until about 80 miles into my trip on the way back (10 miles from ramp)..The starboard motor lost power and engine light came on...my first hunch was timing belt...Well, upon examination the timing idler pulley bearings gave out..my belt is good, but now Im sure everything is out of whack...so I come to you guys once again and ask for help on setting timing belt with crank etc...Thanks!

Remove air intake. Attempt to find TDC mark on pully. VERY VERY small notch on side of pully. I mean SMALL. Align with raised alumimum line on crankcase above ecm on stb side. Remove inspection caps on black covers above camshaft's on cylinder head's. Align crankshaft pully notch with raised alumimum line on crankcase, check to see at camshaft's are at the #1 posision on both port and stb pully, check alignment with notch in inspection cover. This unit is an inerfierence unit, where as the piston can strike the valve and bend or break it off. Thank's Martin

I was able to line up notch on pulley with timing mark and looking at the starboard top piston, I noticed it is closest to the head. I've done this on car engines, checking the #1 piston, Im not sure which piston # this one is. But I was doing a comparison test with my counter rotation motor as "guideance". So, I've noticed that on the "good" motor or counter rotation engine, I can have timing marks lined up and be at the "1" on camshafts, then if I turn crank one revolution, I'm at the "5" position on camshafts. So I pulled off valve cover to try to see what positions rocker arms should be and I need help in finding true TDC, so that I am not off 180 degrees..any help is truly appreciated..BTW I have a HELM manual on the way, but not soon enough.
