Just curious what method others here with experience in multi carbies use to set the mixture screws. Do you ensure that they are all set to exactly the same number of turns out as each other once you find the highest revs on the main carby (plus a quarter turn out) or do you fine tune each one to its own best setting based on rpm? I do the latter. As it can be difficult to sense fine changes in rpm when searching for the right setting on individual carbies do you detune the all the carbies while tuning one in and taking note of the correct setting for each one or do you adjust one at a time leaving each one at the right setting and listening for slight improvements? I haven't tried detuning but it's a trick I heard of from a motor cycle mechanic.
On the Hondas I have found that you actually get pretty good results from just setting the initial turns from the service manual and not tweaking at all and I'm sure many just do that.
Just curious as there are always many ways to skin the proverbial cat and I usually learn something new from discussions like this and others on the forum may find it useful too.
